But! She’s also a perfect partner for small businesses, not just big ones. Why? Because big companies “already know everything themselves”. And I’m solo. At least for now. Seasonal, creative and fairly niche solo.
My olive grove needed distinct brand marks and a tangible visual expression for communication. The feedback about Simona on Facebook showed I could trust a designer I didn’t yet know personally. From those same testimonials, I built up very clear expectations: precise, straightforward communication and a real feel for the “product”. Because how else can you create a meaningful brand?
Did reality meet those expectations?
In our communication I could share my entire creative process – including the struggles – without any need for political correctness. I’m very grateful to Simona for that. Her ability and tools (!) to truly hear the client and decode their needs are better than anyone could reasonably expect. The system she uses to get to know the client and their needs – the questionnaire, the questions, the way she processes answers – works in both directions. I personally gained a lot from it too.
It was actually hard to choose a final logo from four other options that could just as easily have been “the one”. That’s why I really appreciated the extra help Simona sent: a clear explanation of how the brand works in detail and how it’s used by both the owner and customers. It was not only useful, but genuinely fascinating.
I also highly value Simona’s flexibility. Need a more industrial note? Done. Want to experiment and go off to the side a bit? We tried that too (needless to say, I eventually came back to the designer’s original proposal).
The result? I believe this timeless grove has gained a recognisable identity. And visitors will no longer have to grumble that there should at least be some kind of roadside sign. We’ve sorted out the roots, and next I’ll be asking Simona to take care of the product – oil labels and illustrations for our youngest visitors.
And you know what was the most interesting part?
This grove and this place stubbornly refused to be named. It felt like no single word could hold so much meaning. But then I described its life, Simona distilled it, and we stopped at a symbol that felt achingly familiar – but in completely unexpected circumstances.
Until the spring equinox, for half the year, the olive trees watch the waxing moon set into the sea from here. It’s a sight you have to earn, and one you could never fully script in advance in your desires. And yet it comes, catches you completely off guard. Just like my story in this light‑filled grove on the hill.
I want to thank Simona for bringing my vision for a new logo to life so beautifully. The quality of her work is just WOW. Communication was warm, pleasant, friendly and clear. Throughout the entire process I felt my request was in reliable hands – I was informed when the task was received, how long it would take, what would be done, how much it would cost, and so on. I spent a long time mulling over the idea of creating a logo and brandbook for “Tampu Mama”, a holistic family wellbeing centre… I kept sketching, searching for THAT version – something loved, deeply felt. I wanted it to reflect holism, the journey of motherhood from planning a pregnancy all the way to raising a teenager, to hold many different activities in one. We first met Simona about 5–6 years ago – in a rather unusual way. She was finishing her MA studies in Graphic Design at the Vilnius Academy of Arts and presenting her final work, while I, as a social partner, was part of the assessment committee.
Because Simona’s project was about ecology, waste and public education, it immediately caught my eye. Her approach was completely non‑typical – using gamification. I don’t remember what exact score I gave her personally, but it was almost certainly the maximum, and the overall committee score was definitely high. Simona herself could probably confirm the details. 🙂
When the social initiative Kūrybos kampas 360 was launched, we needed a logo and a complete visual identity. I immediately thought of Simona and invited her to join the team. Since we had no budget, Simona did all the work as a volunteer. To this day she is still with us – the only volunteer who has been continuously working with the team for so long.
During this time, Simona has created many different designs, big and small. The latest major piece was the visual identity for the “Už švarią Lietuvą!” campaign, which was recognised and appreciated across Lithuania.
I really enjoy working with Simona – you just outline the main guidelines and give her full creative freedom, and the results speak for themselves. Her approach is unconventional and professional, even visionary. She’s easy to communicate with because she truly hears what you’re trying to say. Let’s be honest: turning thoughts into visuals is difficult for most of us, but Simona does it with ease, because her imagination simply goes beyond the usual limits.
